Description

Ever wished you could stand on your own shoulders to reach the exit; CloneUp: Stack Yourself builds that idea into every jump by letting you spawn solid, time-stable copies of your character, place them as ledges, and climb the stairway you invent while spikes, crushers, and moving platforms force smart pacing and careful resource use; controls are simple but expressive: move and hop with standard keys, tap the clone button to create a duplicate where you stand, grab-and-drag to nudge a clone into perfect alignment, and hold interact to stack or unstack them cleanly, while a rewind key undoes your last placement without resetting the whole room; levels introduce weight plates that only open doors if a clone remains standing, pressure lifts that rise when two or more clones stack on them, wind tunnels that push lightweight clones but not your heavier main body, and color fields that “phase” selected clones so they let you pass but still carry other clones on top; success comes from route sketching: before placing anything, walk the perimeter, note safe ledges, and plan where your final clone must remain to keep doors open while you escape; conserve bodies—place the fewest clones needed to bridge a gap, and reclaim extras on the way back so they’re available for the final climb; build zigzag stairs that alternate left and right rather than straight columns, because alternating lets you catch a missed jump without collapsing the stack; when a crusher’s rhythm intimidates, park one clone beneath the trigger to “prove” the timing, then sprint through on the next cycle; if a moving platform drifts in arcs, set two clones at slightly different heights to create a forgiving landing shelf and approach from the higher one; advanced technique revolves around “soft ladders”: stack three clones, step to the second, pick up the bottom one, place it on top, and repeat to ratchet upward while carrying your inventory along with you; accessibility options include bright outlines on active clones, numbered markers so you remember placement order, and readable interface prompts; why it’s enjoyable stems from solutions that feel authored by you—no two players stack the same way, and the quiet pride of crafting a precise staircase under pressure makes each open door feel like you literally built the path to your own success.
